Continuing Kumon During School Holidays in May

Continuing Kumon During School Holidays in May

The Ministry of Education (MOE) has announced that June school holidays will be brought forward to start from 5th May. As a result, students will not be doing home-based learning (HBL) with their schools.

We have shared in the memorandum released earlier that our blended approach to learning in the past weeks of ‘Circuit Breaker’ has resulted in students achieving faster progress towards their study goals.

This positive learning effect is observed because of the following factors:

  1. Kumon instructors have stepped up their communication with parents and students to a higher level.
  2. Instruction of students is enabled through usage of technology.
  3. Better support and more specific feedback from parents to the Kumon instructors.
  4. Students are able to complete more worksheets with more time at home.

We encourage all parents to discuss with your child’s Kumon instructor on the continuation of learning with Kumon in May and the adjustments necessary to put your child in the best possible position for the new school term.

Thank you for your trust in Kumon. Together, we can overcome this challenge. Stay safe.
